Kicking off the first of a series of artist collaborations, Colombian artist Federico Uribe has conceived an installation ‘The School’ that comments eloquently on both Corto Moltedo’s variations on the clam shell as well as the label’s marriage of unlikely materials.@ Gogoparis. This led to Moltedo’s decision to feature two installations by Federico Uribe, “The School” and “Por si las moscas” to inaugurate the opening.@ Lexposure.net. An installation by Federico Uribe is attached to the ceiling, showcasing the Colombian artist’s embrace of everyday materials through a school of blue-green shimmering fish and colorful scrapers, while a maneki neko (or, Japanese “welcoming cat”) bids passersby good fortune and beckons them to enter with its raised paw.
